Subash Chellaiah, Multi-Faith Chaplaincy Co-Ordinator


 

SSubash Chellaiah has a wide experience in the faith and voluntary sectors. Since moving with his family from Carlisle in September 2012, Subash has energetically engaged with the life of the University. He has experience of working with different faith groups and peoples.

Subash has a post graduate degree in Sociology as well as having three Bachelors degrees in history, theology and religion. Subash has a lot of experience working in the area of community development; interfaith; gender equality; working with children; conflict resolution; international development along with Tsunami Relief and rehabilitation.

He is a Board Member of Just Lincolnshire, Trustee of  Christians Aware (Leicester, UK), and Founder and President of Institute for Rural Community Services. He is also a founding member of Little Elephant School in India.

Subash is friendly, approachable and he loves meeting people and spending time listening to their problems, providing constructive support through the experience that he has gained.
